当牛看到红色的布（see red）就会发怒

现在这个表达延伸用于

形容一个人被激怒、发火的情况

例：

People who don't finish a job really make me see red.

我最讨厌别人干活有始无终。

He saw red when a truck dented his new car.

看到卡车撞到他的新车，他火冒三丈。

还有一个颜色purple（紫色）也能表达生气

be (go) purple with rage=气得脸色发紫，非常的生气

例：
